When Tovran absconds with his newborn godson to save the little omega from his murderous mother, he takes a few weeks on Earth to think things over and devise a plan.

But the only plan he can think of as viable is to give his godson to a human to raise while he remains in the background, never far from his most precious charge.

The only thing he didn't count on was the abject grief his decision cost him. To give away his best friend's child is to give what is left of his heart away and remain a husk of an elf until they could be reunited again.

But can he do what needs done? Can he do his duty when his entire being rebels from his decision?
