I try to be more understanding of others.
This is hard for me. Being autistic, I have a very strict sense of right and wrong, black and white, good and bad. Even if I'm wrong, it feels like an attack when someone challenges those senses. It takes me a minute to calm down before my brain can come to terms with their point of view and realize they aren't attacking me, but giving me the opportunity to see the truth, even if they're being confrontational.
But I've been working hard on myself, my reactions, and my interactions with others. Every day, I try my best to understand others and give them the grace that most in my life give me.
How does this affirmation speak to you? Or does it at all?
